Life near water tends to go with the flow, per say. Our motions often transform with the rhythm and the shape of the current. Once and awhile we get too caught up in life and everything becomes hectic and backwards. I believe getting back to the natural flow of life is easier attained when we pay attention to the movement of water.

SandsStones Inc. is my mother's jewelry instruction and design company. In the advertisement I use contrast to depict the sketch of a design morphinh into a finished piece. The sketch fade was difficult to achieve and at first the image was not so balanced and symmetrical. I played with pasting a quill in the top right corner to accent the sketch but it looked awkward and did not fit with the proportions of the necklace. The font is a script that aims towards elegance and sophistication but the periods after each word makes the statement solid. The website which also represents the name of the company is in gold because it stands out against the white and brings out the metal in the necklace. If I had more time I would work on the contrast between the sketch and the photo.

Ad Analysis: Assignment 1
Font: uses a sans serif font in caps.
Structure: has an informal structure.
The image is heavily weighted in the bottom right and upper left corners making it fairly balanced yet asymmetrical.
The size of the chairs are very tiny within the frame, while the bare floor, the ground of the image, is centered and shiny.
The text of the company brand is positioned so that the stamp continues off of the image, making it seem as if this is a larger room than what is shown here.
Font: uses a bold sans serif font.
Structure: has an informal structure.
The image is unbalanced and asymmetrical with the man's face on the far left being the center of attention.
Contrast is seen between the man's bright face, white shirt and the dark background.
The position of the man's face on the same plane placed before the bold text insinuates that the text is a continuation of the statement made by the man's smile.
The dark ground behind the figure of the man's face appears to be a place of work or a garage, showing that he can now happily go back to everyday life.
Font: uses both serif fonts and script.
Structure: has an informal structure.
Asymetrical and unbalanced, being weighted more on the right side.
Very directional , starting with the airplane, zig-zagging through the arm and hair of the mermaid and continuing with the diagonal slant of the Bermuda text.
There is grouping of the name of the airplane (Bermuda by Clipper) below, distanced from the name of the airline(PanAm) up top.
The small size of the airplane in comparison to the mermaid and the island of Bermuda give the idea that flying PanAm is a quick and simple way of getting to tropical paradise.
Font: uses sans serif font for the website name and an original serif font in the logo.
Structure: has a concentric structure with the focal point being the logo.
The image is symmetrical and balanced with equilibrium in the center.
The dark blues and black of the logo and contact information on the white background creates contrast.
The logo is positioned in the middle of the image as the main focal point.
Within the logo there is the directionality of the text slanted up along the projected path that the baseball would take if thrown by the crab.
Font: uses an informal serif font.
Structure: has a concrete structure insinuated by the lines of text.
The balance of the text is heavier on the left side the image, making it appear asymmetrical.
The size of the fiddles compared to the text insinuates tradition while the bold name of the tour clearly states new and revived.
Contrast between the dark black text and the beige background makes the name of the tour stand out.
The surrounding space and ground looks like old note paper, crinkly and burned or worn away on the bottom.
